Eben has a shiny thing
We’re very proud to be able to announce today that Eben is one of the recipients of the Royal Society of Engineering’s Silver Medal for 2013. You can read all about it in the Telegraph, who have the exclusive.
We’re chuffed to bits to hear the news, and will be ensuring that he wears it with the HAL9000 t-shirt that you’re always so polite about in the comments.
Many congratulations Eben (and all of the Foundation), a Royal Academy award is very prestigious indeed, onward and upwards – a Nobel next.
Very good news for Eben & the foundation, getting the recognition.
Also very good news for the rest of us – someone in engineering is actually interested in computing education.
Congratulations on your award Eben!
Congratulations – very well deserved! :-)
Herzlichen Glückwunsch !
“This is my shiny thing!”
Congratulations – a well deserved honour. The whole team should be applauded for a fantastic creation.
Contrats Eben, you deserve it!
Very good. nice to see some proper recognition.
Congrats on your “Thing” Ebon !!!
Now, put that “Thing” away before some innocent child sees it.
The HAL 9000 shirt is so awesome, that the first time I saw it I went right out and bought one of my very own.
I’ll tell him: he’ll be delighted.
Well deserved – for the vision, the drive and all the other stuff it takes to actually make something happen.
That’s impressive Eben. Congratulations and enjoy the accolades, you’ve earned them…
Are you implying that you don’t like the HAL shirt?
I love the HAL shirt! But every time he appears on camera in it now, someone always starts suggesting it’s the only one he owns.
