Specification

Our first Compute Module, the board features Raspberry Pi 1's BCM2835 processor and 512MB RAM as well as a 4GB eMMC flash device, all integrated onto a small 67.6 × 30mm board which fits into a standard DDR2 SODIMM connector.

The flash memory is connected directly to the processor on the board, but the remaining processor interfaces are available to the user via the connector pins. You get the full flexibility of the BCM2835 SoC (which means that many more GPIOs and interfaces are available than on a Raspberry Pi 1), and the module is designed to be a straightforward as possible to integrate into a custom system.

Compute Module 1 is compatible with the Compute Module 1/3/3+ IO Board.

Obsolescence Statement

Compute Module 1 will remain in production until at least January 2028. This product is not recommended for new designs; for new embedded applications, we recommend Compute Module 4 or newer.
