‘Tis “just around a corner” or two from me so I’m likely to “pop-in”.

Oh, brilliant – I’m glad we’ve made it to your neck of the woods!

I managed to “pop over as promised” and took my 3, ancient, early Pi’s (and Pimoroni cases) with me. Hope I didn’t take up too much of their time “chatting” but was good to meet up with some of the team.

I believe that the MicroCenter stores you have over there carry a good range of Raspberry Pi products?

That’s a good point

Shame it’s not in the city centre. Cribbs Causeway is too difficult to get to without a car.

There is a Bus Service…..

You’re assuming I live in Bristol. I don’t.
It’s two trains and a bus or at least three buses. Over two hours each way in the first option, probably longer with the second.
A city centre location would be one train and less than a hour each way.

Travelling by train to Bristol to access either of the main shopping centres has never been a “good experience” – both railway stations are located some distance away. I used to live on Bristol Parkway’s “doorstep” but it was still easier to take a bus into the city (although the train to Temple Meads was faster, ’twas a “long walk” from there). These days, IIRC, there’s a fast, M(etro) bus from Parkway to Cribbs.
(It’s not that uncommon, my “home city” – Nottingham’s main station was a “good walk away” from the “shopping centre”. Post-Beeching, my home town lost its rail service and it became easier for my parents to collect me from Long Eaton, esp. as Dad** was now based at Toton )

True. And it’s been a while since I’ve done it. The ferry ride (yellow boats) from behind templemeads to castle park is rather pleasant though.

For me, ’tis “the other way around” – I can walk to Cribbs, but probably take the bus to the centre (I have a bus pass :-) ) – unlikely to use the car (parking’s too expensive). Also “city folks” could use the bus – Cribbs is a major bus station!

Microcenter does carry Raspberry pi. They still carry blank CDs as well. I usually convert my videos to mp3 on my local drive.
